Maxwell is a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter who began his professional career as a teenager attending Fort Hayes. Since then he's built a deep resume including work with a wide array of artists, festivals, movie soundtracks, performances with colleagues of Prince, Miles Davis, Aretha Franklin, Taylor Swift, Usher, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Don Henley (just to name a few!). He's even a played on a Grammy-winning record and for President Obama!
With a lifetime dedicated to music and a vast repertoire, Maxwell can guide any aspiring musician. That is to say: whether you're a beginner just starting to learn your favorite songs and play with your friends or a pro looking to broaden your horizons and vocabulary, Maxwell can meet you there and help you reach your goals.

Ben Canton is a well trained and well known musician in Columbus who has performed with countless ensembles in equally countless styles of music. Guitar is his native instrument, but if your instrument has strings, it’s one that he can help you get better at.
With a personal repertoire that spans centuries and the flexibility to teach anything based on the needs and wants of the student, Ben aspires to share joys that playing music brings and to help others be the musician they want to be.

Guitarist, arranger, and music director with 18 year teaching experience in Argentina. Joaquin specializes Latin American music, jazz, nylon stringed guitar, finger style, chord-melody and fusion techniques. He has toured all over South America with small combos and big bands. Joaquin is fluent in English and can help you, or teach, in Spanish if you'd like. He earned a degree in Argentinian music.
Terrance Charles Farmer
Terrance Charles Farmer is a saxophone player and vocalist from Cleveland, Ohio, who has become known for his soulful creative contributions to the music scene in Columbus and nationally.
Over the past 10 years, Terrance has shared the stage as a reedman with local acts including The Floorwalkers, Doc Robinson, Forest & The Evergreens, George Barrie Band, MojoFlo and Earl St. Clair. Recently, he has stepped up from his sideman role to lead a collective of musicians who are fusing contemporary jazz and soul called the Terrance & Friends series.
Terrance studied Music Education as well as Jazz and Classical Saxophone at Youngstown State University and continued his studies at The Ohio State University in Jazz Studies.
Jesse Henry has been teaching, performing, recording, producing, and creating music in Columbus, Ohio for 15 years. His passion for music runs deep. He has the instinctive ability to get people playing music, Jesse started the Boys and Girls Club of Columbus Ohio music program as well as The Marafiki AIDS ministry music program (Nairobi, Kenya), Jesse is the author of the Color String Guitar Method, and is responsible for developing the unique styling of Home Made Music Lessons.

Andrew Russell grew up with 5 brothers in Coolville, Ohio. After graduating from the Federal Hocking High School he studied music and the arts at Ohio Univeristy. Andrew has taught lessons in Athens County for 5 years. His style is very professional while being relaxed, attentive and highly engaging for each student. Andrew has played in many bands and performed various concerts. He is comfortable playing and teaching guitar, banjo, piano, and violin.
